Skype just released a major update to the video chat application to version 4.1. It is now possible for the iOS app to send and receive photos from other users, just like in the desktop version. In addition, Skype promises that the speed of the app has gone up. Now there is a less battery consumption when the application is running in the background, so you spend the whole day receiving messages or calls on Skype and without the battery dying.
