Google has tonight during a press conference in San Francisco announced that high-end 3D cards arrive for Google Maps. The 3D images will “soon” be available on IOS and Android. The announcement is noteworthy because Apple rumored on the verge of not even a week on their own 3D maps to announce.Google sent a few days ago an invitation in which they promised “the next dimension of Google Maps’ to reveal. The meeting was suddenly welded Apple probably meant to the wind from the sails. Google’s announcement was also able to preserve its own developer conference in late June in San Francisco place. During the event, Google employees looked back at the history of Google Maps. Only when Keyhole in 2001 started it was technically feasible to digital maps of the Earth available to the general public. Google bought Keyhole in 2004 and suggested the then available under the name Google Earth. In-house Google was now engaged in developing Google Maps. The major announcement was saved for last: improved 3D display cards on. Using cameras that are mounted on aircraft, Google has buildings from multiple angles depicted. These pictures are merged into a 3D image photo realistic with texture. The demonstration was shown how you can fly over downtown San Francisco, where buildings, trees and other objects on the street in 3D to identify. The 3D images are available on Android and iOS. Google also made an announcement for Google Maps for Mobile: who will soon be online to use. It was while being only spoken about availability on Android.
