For more than 7 years are an integral part of the podcasts from iTunes and the associated area can be downloaded free of charge. In recent years it has become increasingly quiet but for the medium and only a few users to listen to regularly clean. Apple apparently would like to move that section again in the right spot to match the new iOS 6 firmware
In the first release of the new operating system takes the first steps are observed, because the section “podcasts” can not find the mobile iTunes Store, and accordingly, AllThingsD reports that Apple in the near future independent Podcasts would like to publish app and get it renewed attention to this area. A similar approach has already been carried out with iTunes U, which was found at that time still in the iTunes Store.
People familiar with Apple’s plans tell me that when its new iOS 6 software becomes widely available this fall, podcasts will have their own app, where users will be able to discover, download and play them on mobile devices.
Users who access iTunes via laptop and desktop machines will still find them in that version of iTunes, though.
Apple has made a similar housekeeping move before: Last year, it broke up the iTunes player app into separate video and music apps. And when it launched iBooks in conjunction with the iPad in 2010, it made the book reader a separate app as well.
In addition, 9to5Mac have yet to learn that Apple is also on a new technology to work and possibly put it in this new application. So Apple would bring out the IOS counterpart to “Podcast Producer” for the Mac.
