The Apple versus Samsung trial is now towards a close and Judge Lucy Koh has let Apple have it as she received a 75 page briefing. The document provided 2 2 witnesses which Apple made a proposal to call once Samsung completed presenting its case. On this proposal of Apple, Judge Lucy Koh made Apple listen things which it would not have expected at all.
Judge Koh said to the Lawyer of Apple Bill Lee that she is not going around running to get 75 pages briefing for the people who in no case would be testifying.
Koh said flaring her anger on Apples lawyer that how could she order on 75 pages, and said him that if he is not smoking crack then he should know that those witnesses could not be called any way when they are having less than 4 hour time.
Lee replied calmly on this to the judge assuring her that he is not smoking crack.
Also, Apple got to hear that it is asking for too much compensation from Samsung and it is really funny that they have overestimated the profit of Korean firm to a great extent.
Apple was asking $2.5 billion for the damages caused to it. But according to the calculation by expert Michael Wagner, Apple should not be asking for anything more than $519 million which clearly shows that Apple has really overestimated the profit of Korean firm Samsung.
The lawsuit filing of Apple’s case for its patents is now heading towards a close and Samsung is having only one hour more of court time for presenting its case.
