The popular hacker Joshua Hill (known as p0sixninja) has announced a few minutes on his Twitter account that he has left the Chronic Dev Team. The Chronic Dev Team was (partly) responsible for the jailbreak tool greenpois0n for the iOS firmware 4.2.1 to iOS 5.0.1 and Absinthe 0.4 and Absinthe 2.0.4 for iOS 5.1.1. P0sixninja was identified as the “head” of the Chronic Dev Team.Why did he leave the Chronic Dev Team is unknown. As he mentions in his tweet that he was not in the Dev Team for the money, possibly, internal strife caused by the donations of the user for his resignation.
It is not so dramatic. The Chronic Dev Team are still people pod2g, pimskeks, west bear, notcom, iOPK, 0naj, DHowett, nitoTV and Arix. Even if the name of one or another hacker has never heard of, so this could possibly be involved in the jailbreak for the coming iOS sixth
But in any case, the lack of ideas and hacks now p0sixninja of the development of new jailbreak will be difficult or perhaps even impossible (perhaps only tethered jailbreak).
But perhaps all is not so bad and we see a few days after the publication of the untethered jailbreak iOS six already. Who knows, who knows
