A look back
Even the concept of the first books Chrome sounded promising: A netbook that was designed primarily for surfing the Internet and should be cheaper than traditional PCs lap.Unfortunately, this bill did not give up. The largest drawback – apart from the small onboard memory – but many felt that an Internet connection is needed to make sense to work with the device. Also, price was more attractive to potential customers Netbooks: in terms of Internet and online, they are the equal of Chrome Book, but you lose on netbooks not having fun at work when you’re offline.

Praise and scolding
The question arises whether Samsung will be successful with its new Chrome Book? In the professional world, opinions vary widely amazing. Said Christina Warren, Mashable in the article “ Overpriced and Underpowered: Why Chrome Book, Chromebox Fail ”a real tribute to the new book written Chrome.
As the main argument of Warren that the Chrome bookmark with around 550 dollars (for the 3G model) is too expensive and therefore to better-equipped devices for the same price range can not prevail.
In addition, I recruited the iPad in the past, potential customers Chrome Book. Given the success of Apple’s new tablet will almost certainly remain the Chrome bookmark only this time a side note, and as Mashable thinks that the existence of a shop keeper deadlines:
The iPad’s rapid adoption in the workplace and in the education market has not only helped kill the netbook – it’s made a near-impossible Chrome OS sell.
Different it looks on the other hand Om Malik of GigaOm, who in his article “ Google launches Chrome Book, Chromebox’s get it right intones “a veritable paean to the latest collaboration between Google and Samsung. The euphoric descriptions of the speed and the new user interface, but rather to remind an advertorial. A reflective article reads differently:
It is screamingly fast. Both the browser launch and take advantage of browsing itself improved hardware, graphics and most importantly the underlying OS.The trackpad, Which used to have the responsiveness of a piece of wood, feels like a trackpad on any modern laptop.
In addition, Malik praised the benefits of Google Drive in the highest terms, and can even be carried away to the implausible statement, the new Chrome Book can be equated with conventional 12-inch laptops:
The Chrome Book from Samsung is like any other 12.1-inch budget laptop …
A thin body, a fast boot process and the user interface responsive to the revision are the advantages of the new Chrome Books. The disadvantages remain basically the same as its predecessor: the heavy reliance on an internet connection and the price goes down when compared to similar netbooks with more features or too high. To not always be dependent on WiFi networks, it is advisable from the outset for the 3G version of the Chrome Books to decide. This is relatively expensive at around $ 550.
Given the strong competition from the iPad and the many standing in the wings Android tablet with quad-core technology, there is a realistic danger that the book version of Chrome will be a flop.
The approach is interesting and reminds Chromebox not only looks a bit like the Mac Mini. However, the unit as his brother because of Chrome Book of the operating system heavily dependent on an Internet connection.
