Mat Honan explains how errors led to Apple and Amazon icloud hack. The former Gizmodo blogger who was hacked this past weekend, has an extensive article written for Wired. In it he explains how he could be a victim of personal hack, so he not only lost his Twitter account, but also access to his Gmail account and key backups lost. Matt drew the attention of hackers because of its short Twitter name @mat. Then the hackers had only a few data are needed, they could easily be detected: email address Honan as Apple ID used, the billing address and the last four digits of his credit card. Russian hacking with in-app purchases can steal personal data

A Russian hacker has discovered a method to in-app purchases without paying. The method is dangerous because of possible device-specific information and other personal details to come easy in the hands of the hacker. You thus runs a risk that your data be abused. Technically, it seems to work as follows: the method uses a proxy, with two fake security certificates installed. That changes the DNS settings of your iPhone, allowing the transaction to be intercepted before it reaches iTunes. The intercepted data are also accessible to the hacker and can get into the wrong hands.
