Windows Malware Found In App Store iOS application

The tech Website ZDNet has reported a remarkable discovery. According to Topher Kessler there is a single Windows malware worm found in an application that is available in the App Store (IOS). The malware can be found in the free Instaquotes Quotes Cards Instagram application, it is probably better for the app to ignore the app until the problems are solved.

Fortunately the malware was identified as Worm.VB-900. This worm has been a while on the market, and is also easily found by any virus. It will at least have no effect on your iOS or OS X system, only users who manage iOS applications with iTunes (Windows) can be infected by the worm.

The question is how the worm has entered iOS application? It’s hard to imagine that the malware is intentionally added. What purpose would it have? Possibly it is a test and go in the future we might see more of such cases. It will probably force Apple to take further action.
